Happy Post-Valentine's Day!!!

A day in which I was very busy.

Very busy.

Source

I felt sort of like Celia on Monsters Inc., where she's answering the phone over and over and over again.

It was kind of nice, though, because the day went by quite quickly. I was so tired of answering phones and taking orders that, when I went home, I fell asleep while watching SNEAKERS with the family. How sad is that?!

However, now that is in the past, how was your Valentine's Day?

I ate a lot of M&Ms and some bee-you-tiful lemon bars. Then I had some bread and salad to feel healthier about myself, and enjoyed all the flowers that were being designed into the loveliest arrangements. Stock, by the way, is one of my favourite flowers. It smells a bit like cinnamon.

I finished Season Four of WHITE COLLAR.

I don't get why there's all this random gay stuff floating around in it - it's a perfectly clean TV show otherwise... aside from the occasional spicy scene which is no doubt meant to reassure the audience that, yes, people lurve each other muchly muchly in this show!!!  However, all that being said, this was probably my favourite season. Neal has grown up and become a lot more trustworthy, and even Mozzie isn't such a bad influence. And, of course, I freakin' love Peter!!

Agent Peter Burke
Aaaaaannnnd...

That's all for now, folks. My funny is broked tonight.

Okay. I go away to watch a movie now.

La'ers!

My Favourite Song At This Time Last Year - DAY 30!!!

I can't believe it! I made it! Thirty days of posting, and I didn't miss a DAY, you guys.

Source

I admit, some of those posts happened REEEEEALLY late at night...

Source

But sometimes they happened really early too!!!

Source
Sometimes I felt like punching something... or someone...

Source
BUT NOW I'M SO FREAKIN' GLAD, YOU GUYS!!!

Because... THIS IS THE LAST POST OF THIS CHALLENGE!

Source

So, last year I was helping my brother pack, to move. I was on a real Taylor Swift kick a year ago, and this is the song I was absolutely crazy about. I listened to it all the time while I was packing.

SPARKS FLY
TAYLOR SWIFT

So, that's the final post for this challenge. I hope you enjoyed all the songs, and maybe even gained a little insight into the kind of person I am. ;)

Until I post again, God bless!

Little Things, LOLcats, and Words of the Day

Little things bother me.

Like a fly buzzing around the room. That really  bothers me. Or water dripping. That constant plink, plink, plink. It's SO irritating. Or the people next door, blasting jazz. That makes irritation more of a slow smolder.

What do you do when something is driving you crazy? I do one of several things. I either: 1.) Go to Pinterest or Amazon (or both) and browse for awhile, 2.) Browse Google Images for my (current) favourite movie actors, or shows, or 3.) Look up weird and random facts, words, or slides of LOLcats.

I looked up LOLcats. I liked these best:

Afterward, I looked up the word of today. It's abstergent (ab-STUR-juhnt)

As an adjective;
1. Cleansing.
2. Purgative

As a noun:
1. A cleansing agent, as a detergent or soap.

It comes from the Latin word abstergēre, which means "to wipe off."
So, there you go. Maybe after you crawl under the sink to fix whatever's causing the tap to drip, break your pipe, flood your house, and call a real plumber, you might want to call forth your abstergent nature and take a shower. Good luck.

Six-Sentence Saturday

St. Patrick driving the snakes
out of Ireland
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Here in Lake Tahoe we're mostly WHITE with snow, but I hope where spring is bursting out you have a very GREEN St. Patrick's Day.

1.) I am working with BEADS!! Fun-ness.

2.) I can't wait for corned beef and cabbage tonight.

3.) This is going to be quite the weekend for me... St. Patrick's Day today (feast feast feast!), Sunday tomorrow (feast, feast, feast!), and St. Joseph's Day on Monday (again, feast, feast, feast!). Lent has the impact on me. LOL

4.) I've got six books to go through this week, and I STILL want to go to the library today!

5.) I hate going on to Google, typing in "St. Patrick's Day," and seeing the kind of TRASH people post under images. Why does every holiday have to become some kind of "how indecent can I be?" jamboree?

6.) I love LOLcats... hence, the plethora of pictures beneath this post.

God bless, and have a HAPPY, SAFE (tone down on the drinking, peeps), and HOLY SAINT Patrick's Day.

Six-Sentence Saturday 01/07/2012

Happy Day-After-Epiphany! In case you missed my Epiphany post at In Principio, you can read it here. I hope you enjoy it. I just adore Epiphany, especially since my family and I celebrate it with wine, food, and gifts.

So, here are the six sentences:

1.) I got a BOOKWYRM for Epiphany!!!... actually, it was the gift I saved from Christmas, but still, isn't he adorable?

2.) I also got a gorgeous shawl that my Mom made for me, of a beautiful blue sparkly yarn inset with lovely pearl beads so that it looks a bit like the night sky and a bit like Eowyn's cape in this scene in the Lord of the Rings. (Click here for more images of her fantastic Starry Mantle!)

3.) I wish I knew how Diana Wynne Jones' mind worked... her stories are just brilliant.

4.) I think there is nothing quite so lovely as a piece of unmarked paper.

5.) I can look up Tim Hawkins and LOLcats and laugh over them for hours.

6.) In my book, an LOLcat picture is worth MORE than a thousand words.

That's all for now. Talk to you later!

God bless.
