Six-Sentence Saturday 03/02/2013

I find certain things humourous. Like LOLcats, and captioned pictures.

This amuses me.

So does this:

ESPECIALLY this!

This also amuses me:

1.) Today, while saying our Rosary, my niece pointed out a picture in the prayer book she was looking at, of St. Joseph and our Lady preparing for the journey to Bethlehem, and she said, "Auntie Trina! Look! The TARDIS!" and pointed to a small lantern drawn in the picture that did, admittedly, quite look like a TARDIS.

2.) I can apparently make a good "shocked" Tom Cruise face... if I'm feeling uninhibited, that is.

3.) I haz made TARDIS cookies for dessert tomorrow!

4.) There is something about Lent that makes all sweets instantly desirable.

5.) I want to see Rise of the Guardians again.

6.) I also wish there was somewhere in Tahoe that offered Parkour lessons.

Come on, you KNOW you want to be able to do that!!

That's all for tonight! Hope you have a yummy lovely Sunday with much sweets and chocolate and goodness!

God bless.

Six-Sentence Saturday 02/23/2013

Hilloo, my crazy happy friends of the internets! I haz been having a busy time. How can one not really have a job and still feel like one has no time?

Anyhoozle, I got my first custom order request at Etsy for a Phantom of the Opera box. How neat is that? I'm going to post a picture of it in my Shoppe tomorrow, but it shan't be there long. I feel quite awesome about that.

Right, now for the sentences.

1.) My little nieces are as obsessed with Doctor Who as I am.

2.) They sing the theme song tunelessly, and chant "Doctah Who! Doctah Who!"

3.) One of my nieces drew marker lines on herself and forgot about it, and when we pointed them out to her later and asked where she got those she freaked out and said, "I don't remember. Maybe it was the Silence!" One of my sisters washed it off and said, "No, Chloe, it wasn't the Silence," and Chloe said, all tearfully, "You don't remember either!" *

4.) I super super SUPER want this fob watch!!

5.) Phantom of the Opera masks are hard to make.

6.) The Kyrie of Mass XI, the Orbis Factor, is quite easy to memorize, but the rest of the Mass is really hard.

(Here's a sample, if you want to take a listen: http://www.ccwatershed.org/media/audio/12/07/10/14-57-30_0.mp3)

That's all for now!!! Until next time, God bless!

*A note about the Silence. They are a particularly creepy kind of baddie on Doctor Who. One of their special attributes is their ability to erase your memory of them the instant you aren't looking at them. That's the reason why Chloe's remark about "You not remembering either!" is so funny, because no one can remember the Silence.

A Funny Thing Happened While I Was Writing An Email...

So a cool thing happened to me today.

I was on my email, writing up a quick email, and you know how you get those floating ads at the top of the screen? (Well, maybe you don't. My main email is Juno, and it has those ads on top of the screen, and usually in a sidebar on the right.) So, I'm writing an email, and this Amazon pops up, giving me a list of books I might enjoy, based on my recent searches. LOOK what it offered me!

See that book on the left? Destiny's Son? By Katrina DeLallo? I did this as a job on oDesk, and look at that! Offering me my own Kindle Edition of my own book. How funny and amazing is that?

Anyway, I thought it was funny and amazing.

On to other things. Over the weekend I was able to stay at this luxurious house while the owners were out of town. Me and my sister(s) stayed, taking care of the two cats. We enjoyed the most marvelous Jacuzzi - and  Oh My Goodness! If I ever become rich and famous I am so buying a Jacuzzi!! - and after that we watched THIS movie:

It was BRILLIANT! I happen to love both Channing Tatum and Jamie Bell, and they were amazing in this! I loved the whole way the fighting was filmed, because you got the impression of the violence of those times - I mean, the baddies were Picts, and they were creeeeeeepy!!! Their druids most especially... - but the filming was done so well you never actually saw the violent bits. You just got the idea. The story was such a great story about friendship and adventure, and the two of these boys started off not really fond of each other at all, and became such great friends at the end. Friends, mark you. Nothing more. :) After watching it, my sisters and I were on this "Romans!!" high, and stayed up quite late, feeling quite bold and dashing and needing to sword fight. Or something. The scenery was gorgeous too. Loved it so much!

So far, that's all the really exciting news for my week. How about you? What's going on in your lives?

Cheers! Hurray for the Romans! God bless! :)
